I got an engineer in who suggested I get a new boiler - it would likely costs £1,500+ including fitting. I called Unique Gas, and they sent out their own engineer, a well-mannered gentleman called Ash. He popped along the same day to offer a second opinion and boy am I glad I did! Ash suggested that if the PCB were replaced that should resolve issues. We moved forward and I paid £183 for the PCB (with an official receipt from plumbing city) and despite making two visits he charged me less than £100, and most importantly, hey presto, the heating and hot water now work perfectly again!! He could have made much more money, and I respect honesty as there is so little these days. I would recommend him 100% - very reasonable pricing, excellent knowledge, service and ethics - how can you go wrong!!
